Book Review: Goodbye Days by Jeff Zentner

3 out of 5 stars

This book gave great descriptions and visuals about how a teenage boy would feel if he just lost 3 of his best friends. The first chapter gave me goose bumps, it was so raw that it makes you feel what Carver is feeling. Great writing skills from the author. I loved how there were flash backs, it was almost like watching small episodes of the 4 best friends. they were actually funny too. It was nice to see these parts and feel what Carver was feeling and you could see why he missed them so much. I felt like Carver was a genuinely good guy and couldn’t see why Adair had so much hate towards him. I mean I get it, about the texting thing but, to persecute someone for it seemed not real to me. Other than that, I really enjoyed this story.
