Book Review: This Too Shall Pass by Milena Busquets

4 out of 5 stars. This was a quick and enjoyable read. The story line was a little goofy to me but I completely loved the style it was written in. It was simple yet you could sense the author had a special way with words. I was very focused when I read this book and I feel like if you are constantly being distracted while reading that you may miss something.  I found this book quite funny too. There were a few sad parts and I actually felt pretty sad for the protagonist but it felt down to earth and extremely relatable to a huge group of potential readers. The way Busquets described things made me smile and wish that I could one day have her same visionary responses. For example on page 109 when she is describing the sea she says, “Its surface sparkles as if all the stars of the night before had fallen in”. I just loved this quote and being a girl who grew up living on a waterfront, Busquets nailed it with this description for me!
